MoU Signed Between District Administration and Canara Bank for Nutritional Support to TB Patients Gadchiroli, July 14, 2026: A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed today between the District Collector's Office, Gadchiroli, and Canara Bank to provide nutritional support to tuberculosis (TB) patients in the district. Under this initiative, Canara Bank has registered as a 'Nikshay Mitra' and will provide funds amounting to ₹72 lakh for the nutritional support o f TB patients. Previously, nutritional support was being provided to TB patients in mining-affected areas of Gadchiroli district on a pilot basis using District Mineral Foundation (DMF) funds. Following the positive response to this initiative, the scheme will now be extended—with Canara Bank's collaboration—to TB patients in non-DMF areas within the northern part of the district. Under this initiative, nutritious food kits that complement the medical treatment process will be distributed regularly; this will help improve the health of TB patients and facilitate their speedy recovery. The distribution of these nutritional kits will be carried out through women's self-help groups (SHGs) operating under the 'Umed' campaign, utilizing the network of relevant health sub-centres. This approach will not only strengthen rural healthcare services but also create new income-generating opportunities for the women's self-help groups. This initiative, implemented to bolster the Central Government's 'TB-Mukt Bharat' (TB-Free India) campaign, serves as an effective example of a public-private partnership. It will be executed through the coordinated efforts of the district administration, the Health Department, Canara Bank, and the 'Umed' women's self-help groups. This marks a significant step towards making Gadchiroli district TB-free, and the initiative is expected to be highly effective in providing essential nutritional support alongside medical treatment.

तीन यक्ष्मा मरीजों को गोद लेकर जिलाधिकारी बने निक्षय मित्र -सक्षम व्यक्तियों और संस्थानों से न्यूट्रीशनल सपोर्ट के रूप में यक्ष्मा मरीजों को फूड बॉस्केट उपलब्ध कराने की अपील -न्यूट्रीशन सपोर्ट मिलने से टीबी मरीजों के क्योर रेट की संभावना अधिक मुजफ्फरपुर। प्रधानमंत्री टीबी मुक्त भारत अभियान के तहत समाहरणालय प्रांगण में जिलाधिकारी कुमार गौरव द्वारा मंगलवार को तीन यक्ष्मा मरीजों को गोद लेकर न्यूट्रीशन सपोर्ट उपलब्ध कराया गया। साथ ही मंगलवार को विभिन्न निक्षय मित्रों के सहयोग से जिले में कुल 70 यक्ष्मा मरीजों को न्यूट्रीशनल सपोर्ट के रूप में फूड बास्केट का वितरण किया गया। जिला पदाधिकारी द्वारा राष्ट्रीय यक्ष्मा उन्मूलन कार्यक्रम अंतर्गत जिले में हो रहे कार्यों पर संतोष व्यक्त करते हुए सभी जनप्रतिनिधियों, व्यापारियों, स्कूल-कॉलेज के प्राचार्यों एवं अन्य समृद्धशाली व्यक्तियों से निश्चय मित्र बनने की अपील करते हुए जिले में ईलाजरत सभी यक्षमा मरीजों को न्यूट्रीशनल सपोर्ट के रूप में फूड बॉस्केट उपलब्ध कराने की अपील की गई एवं बताया गया कि जन भागीदारी से ही जिला से यक्ष्मा उन्मूलन का लक्ष्य प्राप्त किया जा सकता है। जिला यक्ष्मा पदाधिकारी डॉक्टर सी के दास द्वारा बताया गया कि हमारे यहां सभी स्वास्थ्य केंद्रों पर यक्ष्मा की जांच, ईलाज एवं दवा नि:शुल्क उपलब्ध है। जिले के सभी स्वास्थ्य केंद्रों में पर्याप्त मात्रा में जांच किट एवं सामग्री तथा दवा पर्याप्त मात्रा में उपलब्ध है जिला पदाधिकारी महोदय के निर्देशन में हम लोग पूरे मनोयोग से यक्ष्मा उन्मूलन की दिशा में कार्य कर रहे हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि भविष्य में अन्य लोगों को भी प्रेरित करते हुए इसकी संख्या बढ़ाने हेतु प्रयास किया जाएगा। इलाज अवधि में न्यूट्रीशन सपोर्ट मिलने से क्योर रेट बढ़ने की संभावना होती है। दवा के साथ-साथ पौष्टिक आहार का सेवन भी अनिवार्य है ताकि रोग से लड़ने की क्षमता विकसित हो सके। उन्होंने बताया कि अभी तक जिले में 332 मरीजों को न्यूट्रीशन सपोर्ट उपलब्ध करवाया गया है। विगत वर्ष में कुल 86 पंचायतों को हम लोगों के द्वारा टीबी मुक्त घोषित किया जा चुका है एवं वर्तमान वर्ष में भी तय लक्ष्य के अनुसार पंचायतों को टीबी मुक्त घोषित किए जाने हेतु युद्ध स्तर पर कार्य कर रहे हैं। इस कार्यक्रम में मीडिया बन्धुओं के द्वारा एडवोकेसी, कम्युनिकेशन एंड सोशल मोबिलाइजेशन में भी भरपूर सहयोग प्राप्त हो रहा है जिसके लिए वे लोग धन्यवाद के पात्र हैं क्योंकि बगैर जन भागीदारी एवं जन सहयोग के टीबी मुक्त मुजफ्फरपुर का लक्ष्य प्राप्त नहीं हो सकता है।
