Display of NTEP IEC banners was organized during the 36th Farm Fest & Flower Show. The activity aimed to create awareness about tuberculosis, NTEP services, free diagnosis, and treatment. The event attracted farmers, visitors, and stakeholders, ensuring wide community outreach through strategic placement of informative IEC materials at the exhibition venue effectively and efficiently well.

An Intersectoral State TB Forum Meeting was held in Chandigarh under the chairmanship of Home-cum-Health Secretary Mandeep Singh Brar to review progress under the National Tuberculosis Elimination Programme (NTEP). The meeting emphasized interdepartmental coordination, timely diagnosis, complete treatment, patient support, and community participation, with TB Champions and survivors sharing experiences to promote awareness.

A CME was conducted by DTC Satara in collaboration with IMA Branch Satara at IMA Hall. WHO Consultant Dr. Swarna Ramteke updated private practitioners on NTEP guidelines, regimens, diagnostics, TPT, CY TB testing, adult BCG vaccination, TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, PMTPT, NSP, drug-resistant TB regimens, private sector engagement, PPSA role, Global TB Report highlights, and management of vulnerable populations.

A TB Workshop and Artificial Intelligence training programme was organized for all CDOs and DEOs at the State Health Society, Bihar, Patna. The training focused on strengthening TB programme implementation through the use of AI-based tools, data management, monitoring, and informed decision-making under the National Tuberculosis Elimination Programme (NTEP).

On the occasion of the 77th Republic Day, food baskets were distributed to 38 tuberculosis patients under the Nikshay Mitra initiative at Siliguri District Hospital. The activity was conducted in the presence of the Honourable CMOH, Superintendent, and ACMOH, Siliguri. The patients have been adopted by doctors and nurses of the hospital as part of sustained patient support.

On the occasion of Republic Day, food baskets were distributed to 22 tuberculosis patients from urban and rural areas of Sonpeth taluka under the National Tuberculosis Elimination Programme (NTEP). The activity was organized at Rural Hospital Sonpeth in the presence of the Medical Superintendent, Taluka Health Officer, medical officers, and health staff, ensuring nutritional support and community participation.

On the occasion of the 77th Indian Republic Day, a flag hoisting ceremony was held at the Solapur Municipal Corporation with the presence of senior civic and health officials. TB awareness was promoted through a TB-free pledge, slogans, LED screens, banners, standees, pamphlets, and tricolor balloon release. TB Champions and public participation strengthened NTEP messaging, and exemplary work of health staff was recognized.

As part of the district-level Republic Day celebration at Amod, Bharuch, a creative TB Tableau was showcased under the Nikshay Mitra initiative with the theme “TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan – TB Harega, Desh Jeetega.” The IEC activity aimed to create mass awareness on TB prevention, early diagnosis, treatment adherence, and community participation, reinforcing public commitment towards a TB-free India under NTEP.

All health staff and ASHA workers were present during the activity, ensuring community participation and support for the TB patient.

On 24 January 2026, nutritional food support was provided to a tuberculosis patient at Khairat village (AAM–Dongargaon), Maharashtra. The food basket was distributed by Smt. Sarika Vivekanand Khilari, Hon’ble Sarpanch. The activity was conducted in the presence of health staff, ASHA workers, and community members, strengthening community involvement and support for TB patients under the nutrition support initiative.
